Why don't you get in touch with your builder and ask him? It could be something the can address easily. Steve

Bill, a local CZ shooter here has told me that as well and shown me on his gun. Seemed to work about 60% of the time. Looks like I'm actually going to round the slide stop lever a bit where it mates...

There's nothing about the SP01 Shadow that would cause it to fall afoul of this: 8.2.1.3.3. Magazine releases, slide stops, safety levers, de-cocking levers, hammers, and triggers, that are stock on...

CZ now produces a Shadow Line consisting of various models of the SP-01 Shadow and a 75 Shadow. All are factory produced and compliant. Aside from a trigger job, different sights and grips there is...

If your model is only legal in ESP because it is legal in ssp ( full length dust cover) then it is possible that cz custom shop assembled guns might not be ssp legal in April. That could create a...

Steve the guns weigh less than 43 oz so the issue with the FLDC is now moot. CZ Custom can put any part s they want in the guns as long as they are from existing production guns and don't require...

I thought ESP still had a requirement that steel dust covers over a certain length were not allowed. Ssp legal guns were allowed to compete in ESP and so avoid the dust cover rule. The point I was...

Yep, you are totally right. I was just trying to reinforce the idea that you couldn't take a sp01 and shoot it in esp with a magwell, aftermarket trigger and such. CZ has really gained in popularity...

The biggest disadvantage the CZ's have is their first pull must be with the hammer down. In IPSC you require a min 5lb first pull so the CZs are very popular given after the first pull the gun goes to...

As it sits I shoot my CZ in ESP only in IDPA cause it's single action and with the magwell. When I shoot it in USPSA I shoot L-10, minor. hahahaha.

OK, I am confused. Can I shoot a CZ-75 Shadow SP-01 (w/Full Length Dust Cover) with a Magwell added in ESP?I know I can shoot a CZ-75 Shadow with a Magwell in ESP...what's the issue? Thanks,Cody
View ArticleRe: CZ in esp
Sorry nope. Full length dust cover guns can only get into ESP, if they are SSP legal. But a magwell makes the gun disallowed for SSP, hence disallowed for ESP.

Cody why bother with a mnagwell on a double stack gun.? Seems to me you are putting lipstick on a pig. Look at the SSP and ESP times at the US Nationals. They are for all intent and purpose identical....
